NTT America announced the appointment of Mr. Tetsuro Yamaguchi as President and CEO of NTT America

NEW YORK -- NTT America, a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation, today announced the appointment of Mr. Tetsuro Yamaguchi as President and CEO of NTT America. Mr. Yamaguchi succeeds Mr. Tatsuo Kawasaki to the position effective immediately. In his new role, Mr. Yamaguchi will be responsible for the management and development of the company's North American operations. He will oversee NTT America's product development, strategic initiatives, carrier and other vendor relations, and company-wide revenue growth effort."We are pleased to announce Tetsuro Yamaguchi's appointment as President and CEO of NTT America," said Mr. Hiromi Wasai, President and CEO of NTT Communications. "Having spent the majority of his career with NTT Communications, Mr. Yamaguchi's extensive experience and reputation within the organization will be a strong asset and enable him to effectively lead NTT America through its next phase of growth and development."Prior to assuming his new position, Mr. Yamaguchi was Vice President of the Financial Industry Sales Department, Enterprise Division I at NTT Communications, where he was responsible for all of NTT Communications' large financial accounts, including those with the major U.S. banks. He joined NTT Corporations in 1979, and since that time he has served in a number of managerial roles across the organization, including Deputy Managing Director of NTT Deutschland (Germany) from 1993 to 1995. Mr. Yamaguchi received his Master of Business Administration degree from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
