TORONTO -- Nortel Networks (NYSE:NT) (TSX:NT) today announced plans that will see changes to its sales organization as Gary Donahee, president, Americas, proceeds to retirement in the Spring of 2003, following a 28-year career in the company. "With Gary proceeding to retirement, we have put in place a plan to ensure a smooth transition of his leadership and account responsibilities," said Frank Dunn, president and chief executive officer, Nortel Networks. "This transition plan is in keeping with our ongoing commitment to work closely with our customers in the key markets of North America and the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) to ensure changes in the Americas sales organization evolve without any disruptions." Under the Americas sales organization transition plan that Donahee will lead, his Americas sales responsibilities will evolve as follows:
