re: NFOEC in Pictures If you got in using a press pass, you paid $0.00 to get in.

This is the same zine that documented the decline of an industry that gave away bandwidth.

Welcome to the club, LightReading. The party has been over for the rest of us for some time.

Sorry about your long walk, though. (I was at the show. It really WAS a long way).

re: NFOEC in Pictures I was actually surprised at the foot traffic on Wednesday. Good customer interactions right up until the end. In general, I feel that recent trade shows are not a good indication of activity. There is a lot of work being done by telephone/email and personal visits that the show doesn't reflect. Perhaps trade shows are not as needed in the new internet global world?

Does anyone know if Paul Harrison ever missed a party at a trade show?

Everytime you post pics he is there.

re: NFOEC in Pictures The pictures show what level our industry has descended to when these are the best pics you can come up with.

What about the NEC booth babes, the VPI orange-shoes, the guys with D.O.R.C. proudly wearing shirts with that logo on them (no, its with a 'C' stupid), the 'kewl' guy with shades and Matrix soundtrack.

Upon reflection, I guess it was boring.

re: NFOEC in Pictures Overall impression: The show was bland, the food was bland, even the weather was bland. Big B bland in big D Dallas.

Starters: How about the warning given out on the bus ride to Avis counter about West Nile Virus and staying inside after sunset / wearing bug repellant?

The show: Lovely Texas belles with mothers great looks and Dad's big feet. Did like the orange shoes, though didn't catch the logo. Folding chairs traded for booth trinkets at Aurora were hot.

The food: Texas beer? There ought to be a law banning interstate trafficing: write your congress person. Best thing was open bar at 5:30...should have been a hour earlier.
