SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- ZK Celltest announced that it has added the HSDPA ( High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) protocol for mobile telephone data transmission to its family of measurement and network optimization solutions.

The 3.5G technology provides download speeds on a mobile phone equivalent to an ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) line in a home, removing any limitations placed on the use due to slow connection. Although any data can be transmitted, applications with high data demands such as video and streaming music are the focus of HSDPA.

“ZK Celltest is very pleased to be able to offer this important enhancement to our drive and indoor field test equipment. Our partnership with Qualcomm has enabled us to support their popular 3G chip set family including the QTP - 6800TM, TM7200 TM and TM6280 TM bringing HSDPA field testing to standard phones including LG, Samsung, and Motorola, and to USB modems supported by Sierra Wireless and Novatel Wireless,” commented Rich Miletic, CEO of ZK Celltest, Inc.
