WUXI JIANGSU, China -- Wuxi Zhongxing Optoelectronics Technologies Co., Ltd. (WXZTE) have announced today important steps in their further expansion. WXZTE are leaders in the development of erbium doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs), announced today that they are releasing a new generation of small form factor (90x70x15) intelligent optical amplifiers. Having developed standard hardware and advance software solutions that can be incorporated into small outline EDFA modules. These new Amplets will deliver solutions that will drastically improve functionality, control and cost of Optical Networks. These Amplets will feature Integrated Transient and Gain control with saturated output power levels up to +15dBm, with gain up to 23dB and noise at < 5.5dB at Pout 15dBm. Operating wavelengths 1530 – 1560nm with a gain flatness of typical +/-0.5dB, Product sampling has already started in a number of customer locations.WXZTE designs, manufactures and markets advanced fiberoptic components for optical telecommunication industries. The company has leading expertise in the areas of erbium doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs), fiberoptic components and subsystem products. The company has established a world-class high volume EDFA production and testing facility. Current products include EDFAs for CATV and SDH applications, C-band, L-band and C L band EDFAs for WDM applications, broadband amplified spontaneous emission source (ASE), fiber Raman amplified module (FRA), and WZOM TRX 10Gb/s Transponder, WZOM TX 2.5Gb/s Transmitter, WZOM RX 2.5Gb/s Receiver.Future products will include a tunable 10Gb/s Transponder.Once again WXZTE will feature at OFC 2003 Hall B-3 Booth 7268, and ECOC 2003.
