ViDOFON AG partners with MASERGY to strengthen videoconferencing service offering

LONDON -- ViDOFON AG, a full service provider of videoconferencing and telepresence solutions, today announced a partnership with Masergy, a provider of secure, virtualized network services to extend and strengthen ViDOFON's service offerings to its enterprise customers. Using Masergy's global MPLS network ensures ViDOFON customers receive the most flexible and reliable video service possible.

The partnership enables ViDOFON to offer video services that are supported by a network platform that has been specifically engineered for superior-quality real-time application performance. Weisflog continued: "Masergy's intelligent services platform guarantees global site-to-site Quality of Service (QoS) performance for video traffic and also includes hosted network management with real-time monitoring and reporting capabilities embedded in the network. The end result is enhanced Telepresence/HD videoconferencing performance with greater visibility and control for our clients."

Masergy's global MPLS services platform is built from the ground up to support real-time converged business applications. Key performance metrics include 100% in-sequence packet delivery, maximum latency variation (jitter) of 1ms and sub-1 second fast fail-over (network recovery).
