Tunable Photonics will unveil TrueLock, its external multi-wavelength locker with complete insensitivity to temperature, at OFC
March 13, 2002
PASADENA, Calif. -- Tunable Photonics (www.tunablephotonics.com), manufacturer of wavelength locking devices and wavelength characterization systems, today announced the availability of its TrueLockTM external wavelength locker, offering superior multi-wavelength locking functionality in a package that meets industry norms for form and fit.The TrueLockTM product provides a complete solution for line card integrators seeking to upgrade their wavelength locking capability without changing their current wavelength locker profile aboard the line card. The primary advantage TrueLockTM locker offers over today’s wavelength locking technology is complete insensitivity to temperature, meaning that the locker can provide an absolute wavelength reference eliminating the need for adjustment of the lockpoint by temperature or laser frequency. This means, for the first time, customers can gain industry leading accuracy (+/- 1.0 GHz (8 pm)) with the same part number, dramatically reducing inventory holding costs, and at the same time boosting system accuracy performance. A demonstration of the TrueLockTM solution will be conducted at Tunable Photonics’ OFC 2002 exhibition booth #1820, proving the company’s claim to complete temperature independence.Tunable Photonics Corp. For more information on OFC 2002, please visit: www.nottheofc.com
