Telstra announced the appointment of its new President, Mr. Andrew Morawski

NEW YORK -- Telstra Incorporated, the U.S. subsidiary of Australian-based tier one global carrier, Telstra Corporation Limited (NYSE: TLS), today announced the appointment of its new President, Mr. Andrew Morawski.

Mr. Morawski has been promoted from his role as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing where he was responsible for the Company's sales and marketing activities in North and South America. With more than 14 years experience in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Morawski enters his new position with an impressive record of building successful relationships and increasing company profits.

Mr. Drew Kelton, Managing Director of Telstra Global Business, said, "As Telstra's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Morawski was instrumental in generating a 20 percent increase in sales, year after year. Mr. Morawski's capabilities as a leader and his expertise in developing partnerships and a strong client base will help build Telstra's position to be a global leader."

Mr. Morawski will leverage the Company's existing products and services to continue Telstra's objective of providing value added services in addition to data connectivity to the North America, South America, Asia Pacific, and European markets. "Our mission is to give customers a great amount of flexibility when it comes to their underlying infrastructure, while providing services to those challenging, hard-to-reach places of the world," said Mr. Morawski.

Morawski's placement as the new President reaffirms Telstra's vision to provide industry leading information technology and communications services, while maintaining focus on the customer.
