STOCKHOLM -- Synergenix Interactive, the mobile gaming company, has appointed Mr. Martin Forsling as new CEO. Based in London, Mr. Forsling has served as chairman of the board for the past year. With a background as a dynamic international entrepreneur he is also an investor in Synergenix.

“I am excited about the possibilities with this extremely talented and dedicated company. Of course I am honored to have obtained the trust to run the operation. Synergenix extends the rules and lifts mobile gaming to a new dimension.” Mr. Forsling continues “I have been impressed by the company’s ability to stay at the cutting edge and very early offer mobile network operators and handset manufacturers high arcade style performance, a strong DRM, multiplayer gaming and now an impressive 3D-engine soon to be fully JSR184 compliant. The main challenges for us are to focus on our customers and give a clear message to our partners and markets.”

Previously, 34 year old Mr. Forsling founded and built the thriving Swedish IT-consultant Axon IT, with customers mainly in the telecom and financial sectors. One separate subsidiary which was later spun off focused on computer games and interactive learning. Mr. Forsling was involved in the project to produce a highly successful game that ran for several years as an interactive game show for children on prime time television (Swedish TV4), as well as retail home computer versions. Axon IT was eventually merged into the French listed company Valtech SA where Mr. Forsling joined the board. Under his leadership the Swedish operation reached 140 employees, and during his time on the French board the international operation went from 350 to about 950 employees.

Since 2001 Mr. Forsling has been acting as a business angel, serving on several boards. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, as well as an MBA from the London Business School. “Over the last couple of years when I have worked with Mr. Forsling I have a great respect for his skills and high motivation” says Håkan Kjellman, co-founder and director of the Synergenix board. “I am very glad he was willing to step into the role as CEO for Synergenix and I am fully confident he will be a great asset in establishing mophun™ as the leading gaming solution complementary to java for mobile devices.”
