SurfKitchen appoints Richard Oliver as chief financial officer

READING, U.K. -- SurfKitchen today announced the appointment of Chief Financial Officer Richard Oliver, an executive with 20 years financial and operational experience in the entrepreneurial technology sector and Fortune 250 companies, including Xerox and Dana Corporation.

SurfKitchen powers the Dynamic User Experience (DUE) and transforms mobile use world-wide for customers including O2 UK, O2 Germany, Telenor, Sonofon, Telefónica Moviles, TIM Italy, TIM Greece, MTC Vodafone and Smart Global. The company is currently featured in the Sunday Times’ Tech Track 100.

Richard will work closely with the SurfKitchen management team to implement key business objectives and engage shareholders. Richard said: “SurfKitchen stands at the forefront of the mobile data services market, its technology sets it apart and its prestigious customer list is a testimony to its offering. I am delighted to join the team and look forward to building on its current success. My role will also involve engaging with SurfKitchen shareholders, which include large and astute private equity funds.”

SurfKitchen’s CEO Michel Quazza said: “Richard’s extensive knowledge in leading complex commercial and financial departments at an international level will be essential as we grow the SurfKitchen business on a global scale.”

Before joining SurfKitchen, Richard spent 5 years as the CFO and COO of SpiritSoft, a leader in Java middleware, where revenues grew 10-fold as the business built a strong reputation among its core financial services and telecoms markets. He holds a Business degree and is a Chartered Management Accountant.
