Sagem Names Americas VP

France's Sagem appoints Victor H. Díaz as vice president and CEO for the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean

MIAMI, Fla. -- Sagem is a French high tech multinational with offices in over twenty countries and production facilities in Germany, Brazil, Spain, US and the Check Republic. Today SAGEM announced the appointment of Victor H. Díaz as Vice President and CEO for the US, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Mr. Díaz has a long and successful track record and career in several markets, and he is a SMA in the telco industry. Last year, he was CEO & President of Cellutions Inc., a mobile device vendor and developer, where he created a competitive and distinctive advantage by generating a real cost-benefit opportunity for the mobile telephony carrier. Before, Victor Díaz was the General Manager of Motorola for Latin America, where he was responsible for strategy development, overall sales, marketing, distribution, and development of key strategic alliances for the US$ 700 million Personal Communications sector in Latin America.

He also led a radical management shift in the region througha redesign of the strategic management, implementation of a new distribution and logistic model and a renewed focus on partnerships with customers. This resulted in the highest employee satisfaction levels in all the Personal Communications Sector and nearly a 100% growth in sold units with positive profitability and a dramatic Increase in Motorola market share. He was one of the fifteen employees of Motorola PCS around the world who received the 2002 Most Effective Leader award. Victor Díaz earned his MBA at the University of Chicago and his BBA at Notre Dame University.
