IRVINE, Calif. -- Primal Solutions, the leading provider of IP transaction platforms, today announced that EarthLink’s (NASDAQ: ELNK) Municipal Networks unit has deployed its IP Correlytics platform in support of EarthLink’s rollout of municipal Wi-Fi services across the country.
According to Carolyn Prantil, EarthLink’s Vice President of Business Operations, “As a leader in municipal Wi-Fi networks, EarthLink needed an IP transaction management, mediation and rating solution that could scale and adapt with our evolving wholesale business demands, while leveraging our existing business systems, which is why we chose Primal’s IP Correlytics™ platform.”
With WiFi-based broadband, EarthLink is now offering inexpensive, wireless Internet access to its own subscribers, an occasional use service to non-EarthLink users, and wholesale broadband to other providers.
“We are proud to support EarthLink’s municipal broadband initiatives,” said Bob Richardson, Chief Operating Officer, Primal Solutions. “We are confident that based on the highly extensible nature of our service oriented architecture (SOA), the IP Correlytics transaction management platform is well suited to their requirements for wholesale rating, transaction settlement and reconciliation, and we look forward to serving their needs.”
