Currently sampling, Decathlon provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet and OC-192c SONET/SDH transport capabilities. This new device supports 10GigE switching in the LAN and the WAN by supporting both the LAN-PHY and WAN-PHY. Specifically, Decathlon is suited for equipment targeted for ISP networks, such as IDC, PoPs, SAN switches and NICs in high-speed servers, as well as devices found in enterprise, metro, and transport networks, such as routers, switches, and regenerators.
