TOKYO -- NTT Communications (NTT Com), a member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), today announced its participation in a series of roaming arrangements with four other major international wireless operators.

NTT Com customers will now be able to take their Wi-Fi subscription to participating WBA carrier member countries and enjoy a consistent, global wireless broadband experience with access to information, communications and entertainment at more than 6,500 Wi-Fi hotspot locations from the Asia-Pacific to Oceania to North America (1,000 of which are already available for subscribers within Japan).

This announcement further reinforces NTT Com's on-going commitment to provide customers with a reliable and dependable, carrier-grade Wi-Fi experience through its Hotspot service.

Participating WBA members include: T-Mobile USA (USA), Telstra (Australia), StarHub (Singapore), Maxis (Malaysia) and NTT Com (Japan). It is expected that the other members of WBA will join in the roaming arrangements in the near future, further broadening the WBA footprint into which NTT Com Hotspot customers can roam with single Wi-Fi subscription account.
