New Edge Networks completes installation of private data network for ICON, a manufacturer and marketer of fitness equipment

LOGAN, Utah -- New Edge Networks, a national business broadband service provider, today announced it has completed installation of a private national data communications network for ICON Health and Fitness Inc., the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of fitness equipment. New Edge Networks completed installation of the data communications network within 60 days of winning the bid among rival national data communications providers. Based on Frame Relay technology, ICON's data network links about 80 outlets in retail or shopping mall locations around the country with the company's headquarters in Logan, Utah. "Our private Frame Relay network allows ICON to improve efficiency and customer service at our retail outlets and significantly cut monthly network costs," said Richard Crosbie, director of information technology for ICON. "National reach, network reliability, on-time deployment, and network cost savings were critical factors in selecting New Edge Networks as our service provider." ICON awarded New Edge Networks a three-year service agreement. "We are proud to add ICON Health and Fitness onto our customer list for data communications services," said Dan Moffat, president and CEO of New Edge Networks.
