SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Motia, a fabless semiconductor company focused on enabling smart antennas for wireless systems providers, today officially launched to unveil Javelin, its smart antenna product that eliminates many of the limitations commonly associated with Wi-Fi. Featuring Motia’s standards-compliant adaptive beamforming technology, Javelin extends the range of Wi-Fi by up to 4 times and enhances overall system performance and service quality. Javelin is the first solution Motia will deliver in its portfolio of cost effective smart antenna products designed to improve various types of wireless systems.

“Adoption of wireless technologies has reached mainstream levels, but limitations in the quality of service, data transmission rates and physical range of existing systems is continuing to hold us back from the user experience we all envision,” said Paul Sun, president and CEO of Motia. “Motia’s goal is to make wireless data more accessible and usable for everyone, by enabling all wireless systems developers to significantly increase the range and performance of their products."
