MetroPhotonics announces resignation of David Clark, president and CEO

OTTAWA -- MetroPhotonics, a leading developer of photonic integrated circuits, today announced that David Clark has resigned his position as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 30, 2004, for personal reasons. Clark has served as President and CEO since April 2002. Adrian O'Donnell, Chief Technology Officer, has been appointed Acting President and Chief Operating Officer.

"We'd like to thank David for his leadership in moving MetroPhotonics forward during the past two years," said Conrad Lewis, Chairman of the Board. "His efforts have assisted us greatly, and MetroPhotonics is now well positioned as a leader in photonic IC manufacturing."

"It is with regret that I have tendered my resignation for personal reasons," said Clark. "However, I am confident in the abilities of the current management team to continue executing our corporate vision and maintaining the momentum that has been built to date."
