NEW YORK -- Metromedia International Group, Inc. (the Company) (AMEX:MMG), which through its subsidiary Metromedia International Telecommunications, Inc. (MITI), is the owner of various interests in communications joint ventures in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, China and other emerging markets, announced today that William B. Manning, the Company's newly appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has reconsidered the position. For personal reasons, Mr. Manning has decided not to join the Company. The Company has immediately commenced a search for a new Chief Financial Officer.Metromedia International Group Inc.
