Meetinghouse joins the Wi-Fi Alliance and gets its Aegis solution for wireless LAN security 'Wi-Fi Certified'
June 17, 2003
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Meetinghouse, a leading developer of network authentication software for wired and wireless local-area networks, announced today that they have joined the Wi-Fi Alliance and that their AEGIS solution for Wireless LAN security is now Wi-Fi CERTIFIED. AEGIS is an 802.1x-based solution composed of the AEGIS Client and AEGIS Server, and is differentiated through the robust breadth of operating systems and EAP methods supported.
The Wi-Fi Alliance is the industry body formed to certify interoperability of wireless Local Area Network products based on the IEEE 802.11b specification. Wi-Fi Certification was gained for the AEGIS solution after rigorous product testing at an independent testing laboratory for compatibility with other 11 Mbps 802.11b wireless standard products. Wi-Fi CERTIFIED solutions enable users to connect anywhere there are other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED products–in public “hotspots” and enterprise settings.
“We are excited to join the Wi-Fi Alliance,” said Dr. Paul Goransson, President of Meetinghouse. “Meetinghouse is committed to advancing standards-based security solutions for the enterprise.”
