MapInfo unveils Predictive Analytics, its location-based demographic analysis system for communications companies

ATLANTA -- MapInfo Corporation today announced the introduction of its location-based demographic analysis solution designed specifically for telecommunications companies. MapInfo has made its Predictive Analytics solution available to help communications companies perform in-depth analysis of customers, new markets and potential adoption of new products or services. By analyzing the distribution of demographic, competitive and behavioral characteristics, communications providers are empowered to make more informed decisions about marketing, budgeting, real estate, merchandising and operational plans.

MapInfo’s Predictive Analytics solution helps answer questions about estimated customer support for network expansion, market potential, the number of retail outlets a specific area can support, how to position store locations and characteristics of a provider’s most profitable customers. Based on these answers, communications companies can reduce risks associated with market and network expansion, as well as develop specific messages that will resonate with the current and target customer base.
