Magic4 signs up with the MMS IOP Group, an industry initiative on MMS interoperability

WARRINGTON, U.K. -- magic4 today announced its participation in the MMS IOP Group as an associated member. The activities of the group include facilitation and co-ordination of MMS interoperability testing, problem solving and the channelling of technical information related to such testing. The results of this work will be releases to 3GPP and the WAP-Forum to be included in the open standards defined by these bodies. This will assist manufacturers and developers in ensuring that MMS applications are compatible and will result in a more rapid introduction of MMS products to the market. Mike Kent, Director General for magic4 Southern Europe , said "Interoperability is absolutely the number one focus for the successful launch of MMS. This announcement is a real coup for magic4 and a recognition of the leading position that magic4 plays within messaging. We are delighted to become an associate member of the IOP aiding them in promoting the end-to-end interoperability of MMS and encouraging the broad and open adoption of the standard.
