LONDON -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: LVLT) today announced two major milestones: the expansion of its Vyvx network into Central Europe, and the celebration of its three millionth Vyvx reservation booked.

With the new connectivity into Prague, Czech Republic-based telecommunications provider Dial Telecom signed on with Level 3 to bring Radio Free Europe/Radio (RFE/RL)’s content from Prague to Washington, D.C. The deal opens up the possibility for Dial Telecom (and other Czech communications providers) to work with Level 3 to begin offering previously unavailable broadcast services in Central Europe.

“Level 3’s international IP backbone and Vyvx infrastructure were critical to Dial Telecom bringing RFE/RL’s content to new audiences,” said Tomas Strasak, chief of Sales at Dial Telecom. “As a result of the work on this project, we’re able to expand our service offerings to include broadcast delivery in Central Europe, with the vital support of Level 3’s proven Vyvx infrastructure behind us.”
