BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: LVLT - News) today announced R. Douglas Bradbury and Charles C. "Buddy" Miller III have been appointed to its board of directors.
Bradbury served as vice chairman of Level 3 from 2000 to 2003 and as executive vice president and CFO from 1997 to 2000. He was a member of Level 3's board of directors from 1997 to 2003. Prior to joining Level 3, Bradbury held senior positions with MFS Communications up to its purchase by WorldCom in 1996. He currently serves on the board of directors of Lodgnet Interactive and is the treasurer of the board of trustees of the Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, Fla.
Miller is vice chairman of Level 3, responsible for several functions including strategy, corporate development, new service development, marketing and corporate communications. He joined Level 3 in 2000 and was a member of the board of directors from Feb. 2001 until May 2004. Miller was president of BellSouth International from 1995 to 2000.
