The Tax Directorate of Indonesia has deployed Juniper Networks DX platforms to enhance the user experience for its mobile workforce
March 29, 2006
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced that the Tax Directorate of Indonesia has deployed Juniper Networks data center acceleration (DX) platforms to increase productivity and enhance the user experience for its mobile workforce. The Juniper Networks DX 3650 platforms will help optimize the retrieval and updating of taxpayer information by tax auditors in the field using mobile PDAs.
The Tax Directorate is a division of the country's Ministry of Finance and is the Ministry's de facto test bed for new technology solutions.
"The Juniper DX platform was selected for its excellent combination of speed and security," said Rafianto, the Tax Directorate's Head of Database & Technical Support Division. "Obviously, highly sensitive information needs to be sent, in this case over a wireless mobile connection, between our central servers and mobile PDAs. The challenge to provide high performance without compromising data integrity or security was elegantly met by the Juniper Networks solution."
"We were especially impressed by the comprehensive security features of the DX platform," added Rafianto. "In particular, it supports end-to-end SSL, delivering secure content even faster than a regular server can deliver unencrypted data, and the solution was very easily integrated with our Web-enabled applications."
Juniper Networks DX application acceleration platforms offload core networking and I/O responsibilities from Web and application servers to increase the performance of Web applications. The products also simplify and improve data center architectures by replacing numerous point products. By incorporating critical security functionality and providing enhanced Web performance and application availability in an easy-to-manage, flexible appliance, the DX data center acceleration platform is proving to be a critical element of the new data center.
"An entity such as the Tax Directorate carefully selects only the most robust and secure solutions," said Wan Ahmad Kamal, Juniper Networks sales director for Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Vietnam. "Its deployment of our DX platforms validates not only our best-in-class product design but our belief that comprehensive acceleration solutions are becoming increasingly important in a networked society."
