Greg Stanley has been appointed vice president of operations at IceFyre Semiconductor

OTTAWA -- IceFyreTM Semiconductor, Inc., today announced the appointment of Greg Stanley as vice president of operations. Stanley has more than 20 years experience in all areas of semiconductor manufacturing operations including procurement and management of wafer production, assembly, test services, and quality assurance. His appointment positions IceFyre to ramp volume production of its innovative WLAN semiconductor products in 2004.

“Greg’s exceptional operations experience provides him with the knowledge to expertly manage the steep production ramp of our innovative 802.11a-based WLAN chipsets that is required this year to satisfy customer demand,” said Dan Mathers, president and chief executive officer, IceFyre Semiconductor Inc. “We are extremely pleased to have Greg join the IceFyre team.”

Uniquely meeting the needs of these markets, IceFyre is aggressively moving its WLAN chipsets into volume production to meet this demand,” said Mr. Stanley. “I look forward to utilizing my background in building effective operations organizations to manage the volume production ramp and to contribute to IceFyre’s continued success.” Most recently, Mr. Stanley was vice president of operations at SiberCore Technologies Incorporated where he was responsible for the procurement and management of wafer production, assembly, test services, quality assurance, failure analysis, distribution and production planning. Prior to this, heheld increasingly senior operations positions at Mitel Semiconductor including director of procurement were he was responsible for worldwide purchasing and sourcing activities.
