SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Carl Vogel, President, CEO and Director of Charter Communications (Nasdaq: CHTR), and Gordon L. Stitt, President, CEO and Director of Extreme Networks (Nasdaq: EXTR), have joined the board of Silicon Valley-based RGB Networks, announced Adam Tom, President and CEO of RGB Networks.

Gordon L. Stitt is credited with Extreme Networks’ rapid ascent from start-up to industry leader in best-of-breed broadband networking solutions and was Ernst & Young’s 2001 Entrepreneur of the Year in Technology.

“RGB’s video-intelligent processing is the next step in creating powerful, flexible, cost-effective networks to distribute video,” said Stitt.

Carl Vogel, one of the most respected leaders in the cable television industry, leads Charter Communications, one of the country’s largest cable television companies, and personally brings over 20 years of telecommunications experience to RGB Networks.

“I have great confidence in the prospects of this company’s exciting technology and ability to translate technology into competitive products for the broadband industry,” said Vogel.

Publicly launched in May, RGB Networks, an innovator of software and hardware solutions for video delivery, is already employing its stellar board to help prepare for the introduction of its groundbreaking Video Intelligence Architecture (VIA) later this year. Well-versed in the technical landscape surrounding the cable and telecommunications industries, these senior executives will impart strategic guidance, industry analysis and critical marketing expertise to assist the RGB team.
