Dedicated M2M offering to be unveiled in Barcelona
February 11, 2011
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-EVOL), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and IP carrier market, today announced that it will be launching its Intelligent M2M Controller product, a dedicated machine-to-machine (M2M) solution for wireless service providers, at Mobile World Congress 2011 (Barcelona, Spain, 14-17 February 2011).
The growing volume in M2M devices using wireless networks presents operators with a range of challenges. In many cases, these devices are low-powered and inexpensive, only sending small amounts of data, and connecting to the network intermittently,- and for short periods of time.
Treating these devices in the same way as mobile phones, which are almost always on, sending and receiving data frequently and spontaneously, is inefficient and ineffective.
Evolving Systems’ Intelligent M2M Controller solution solves this problem by allowing devices to securely connect to the network and send data only when needed. The solution allows operators to reduce costs, protect their networks, and grasp the growing opportunity in the fast-moving M2M space.
