TOKYO -- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced today that it will market P2402, the first FOMA CompactFlashT card that will enable 3G videophone and other wireless data communications via PCs and PDAs such as DoCoMo's sigmarion III, beginning November 28, 2003.

The new flash card will enable PDA users to begin enjoying FOMA services, as DoCoMo presently provides the PC typed FOMA card that is only applicable to PCs with PC card slots.

DoCoMo's new flash memory card will enable videophone calls between PCs and such devices as FOMA handsets, Lookwalk P751v PHS videophones, P-in FreeT series PHS data card-equipped devices and ISDN fixed line videophones. A PC equipped with videophone software and a USB compatible web camera and headset are both necessary.

P2402 will offer high-speed packet transmissions of up to 384 kbps for downlinks and 64 kpbs for uplinks, as well as 64 kpbs for circuit-switched data transmissions.

The CompactFlash card is also compatible with PCs that do not have CF slots by using the standard accessory adopter for PC connections. P2402 will be sold through all DoCoMo channels and the Internet.
