ChinaCache announced the expansion of its leadership ranks with the appointment of Andy Li as the Chief Technology Officer

BEIJING -- ChinaCache, a leading content distribution network (CDN) service provider in China, today announced the expansion of its leadership ranks with the appointment of Andy Li as the Chief Technology Officer.

Andy Li's responsibilities at Chinacache will include overall network design and operation. In addition, his management role will also include leading the Company's R&D and product management. Andy has over 15 years of professional experience in telecom optical, transmission, data and mobile networks both in the US and the Asia-Pacific region where he acted as a chief architect responsible for network design and development strategies.

"With successful track records in the telecom and IT industry across North America and Asia, Andy brings rich experience and knowledge to ChinaCache in the areas of network design and operation. Andy's coming on board will significantly enhance our technical capabilities and further facilitate our network expansion plan," said Wang Song, CEO of ChinaCache. "Andy is joining us at a crucial stage of ChinaCache development where we are actively building out our private backbone layer (PBL) to meet the demands of our customers for a more robust network for content delivery. We are confident that Andy will make outstanding contributions to our customers and partners alike as we move forward." Meanwhile, Jie Zong, current CTO of ChinaCache, will continue his management role at the company as a ChinaCache Fellow responsible for all network architecture related work.
