Centrica acquires Rednet, an Internet service provider for SMEs, for £5M in cash

LONDON -- Centrica plc today announced that its telecommunications arm, Onetel, hasacquired REDNET Limited, an internet service provider (ISP) focused on the smalland medium sized business sector, for £5 million in cash.
Whilst Onetel is well established in the voice market, REDNET adds capability indata services by offering end-to-end internet solutions through products andservices such as web hosting, virtual private networks and web security. Thiswill allow Onetel to compete for higher value business customers.
