Celltick opens Latin American sales and support office Brazil, and appoints Pompilio Roselli as sales director
November 30, 2005
LONDON and SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Celltick Technologies today announced that it has expanded its sales and support operation in Latin America and has appointed Mr. Pompilio Roselli as sales director heading the new regional office in São Paulo, Brazil.
Mobile operators in Latin America and around the world are increasingly interested in Celltick’s idle-screen ticker technology and broadcast services because they solve one of the biggest problems operators face today - content discovery.
Following the build-up of huge content catalogues, mobile operators have realised that users simply don’t know how to access and find content of interest - and this is slowing up their adoption and use of data networks.
Interest from operators in Latin America has increased recently as take-up of mobile phones has soared in the region and operators are looking for ways to better communicate their value-add services.
To help address the demand, Celltick have recruited Roselli to lead its regional office. With more than 10 years experience in the telecommunications sector in Latin America, Roselli has worked on the introduction and development of value-add services such as SMS, voice portals and ring tone download portals. Prior to joining Celltick, Roselli was a sales director at SupportComm, StarMedia Mobile and Dialogic (Intel) and a product manager at IBM.
“Operators need to bring content directly to subscribers in a simple way that will encourage them to click through," said Roselli. "Celltick’s proven solution is very easy for both operators and customers to understand and use. Operators in Latin America are interested in Celltick's solutions in order to accelerate the usage of their content services.”
Yossi Wellingstein, CEO of Celltick, said: “2005 has been a good year for us with a number of significant operators added to our roster. Pompilio is seasoned in this market and I am sure he will further expand and deepen our business in the region.”
