PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL), a global leader in distributing wireless devices and providing customized logistic services, announced today that its subsidiary Brightpoint North America L.P. ("Brightpoint") will be distributing the HP iPAQ hw6945 series Mobile Messenger. Pursuant to their agreement, Brightpoint will customize and distribute the HP iPAQ hw6945 series Mobile Messenger and select future devices to regional carriers, Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) and their respective independent dealers, Value Added Resellers (VARs) and retailers in the United States.

With the HP iPAQ hw6945 series Mobile Messenger, Brightpoint will enable regional carriers and MVNOs to offer their subscribers access to their GSM/GPRS/EDGE wireless data network as well as Wi-Fi, GPS, infrared and Bluetooth(TM) wireless technologies.(1) The Microsoft Windows(R) Mobile 5.0 operating system provides HP iPAQ hw6945 users access to mobile versions of Microsoft applications including Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel and Outlook email.
