FREMONT, Calif. -- BaySpec, Inc., founded in 1999, today announces the availability of the IntelliGuard™ 50 GHz optical channel performance monitor (OCPM). This integrated module utilizes BaySpec's patented VPG® technology as a highly efficient spectral engine and patented OCPM design to produce an OCPM with unprecedented performance. In response to the increasing demands for network performance monitoring, BaySpec has developed a new series of optical channel performance monitors for DWDM networks with 50 GHz channel spacing. The devices can quickly and simultaneously monitor 80 channels in a single C- or L-band, providing high-quality measurements of power, wavelength, and optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR). BaySpec's VPG® technology, combined with sophisticated detection and DSP-based processing system enables continuous spectral monitoring and high thermal stability. The module also features wide dynamic range, high OSNR, a small form-factor and low cost. This 50 GHz module along with the previously announced 100 GHz module, provide solutions to meet a broad spectrum of customer's requirements. Both devices can easily be customized.BaySpec Inc.
