MONROE, Conn. -- Telenity (www.telenity.com), the leading global provider of value added service delivery platforms and applications that enable the programmability of mobile and next generation broadband networks, today announced that Azercell, a Fintur Holdings company and the largest GSM operator in Azerbaijan, has deployed Telenity's Canvas(R) MMSC, Multimedia Messaging Service Center, to provide MMS services to enterprise customers and consumers.

"Telenity's Canvas MMSC brings a new level of finesse to scalability, service development and content provisioning, and does so in a collaborative way," says Serdar Canogullari, General Manager at Azercell. "This makes the network very attractive to application service providers and application developers and, at the same time, ensures we can choose to create our own services, work in collaboration with others, or even resell services, all of which can increase revenues so the investment made in the next generation network can be justified."

Canvas MMSC ensures on-demand scalability through a distributed architecture, based on open standards, that supports linear growth. It ensures subscribers can seamlessly send and receive MMS messages across different networks. The Canvas MMSC can be packaged with Telenity's popular Multimedia Album application, and the Canvas iCON, which enables content creation into multiple delivery channels such as Voice, SMS, MMS, WAP, J2ME, Brew or HTML and provides all the necessary mechanisms to generate new revenues from supplying targeted content with advanced video, voice and data services.

"Azercell is a prime example of successful planning for the digital global economy enabled by wireless networks," says Dilip Singh, president of Telenity. "In a mere eight years, it has grown to over one million subscribers and, by aggressively deploying the most up-to-date value added services delivery platform, content life cycle management platform and messaging and location applications on a common software technology framework, ensured its customers will have access to everything from basic to premium personalized service packages, and the choice of over 100 models of next generation handsets," says Dilip Singh.
