NEW YORK -- Aspire.net Managed Systems Inc. and Yipes Communications, Inc. announced today the nationwide availability of fully managed, multi-carrier connectivity services targeted to the legal community. Aspire.net will use the Yipes MAN service to deliver law firms secure, high-bandwidth application and managed network services between diversely located offices and data centers. Aspire.net's connectivity and application services will provide customers a cost-effective solution for consolidating server and technology operations and for outsourcing security, firewall, business continuity and remote access. Aspire.net selected Yipes after a one-year evaluation of competitive connectivity solutions. The Yipes MAN service offers the reliability of an all-fiber network brought to the customer premise, the tremendous bandwidth potential of a gigabit optical network, the simplicity of end-to-end Ethernet and unprecedented customer control of bandwidth over a secure Web interface. Yipes guarantees latency within its large metro optical networks to be less than 10 ms and its fiber passes within a quarter mile more than half a million businesses in major markets across the country. Yipes was also able to meet Aspire.net's stringent service availability and contractual requirements at a competitive price. "We provide a carrier-independent connectivity solution that changes the cost equation for law firms to deliver much greater bandwidth at very high levels of availability while reducing their technology costs and avoiding single-carrier 'lock in'," said Sam Collier, chief executive officer of Aspire.net. "Selecting Yipes as one of the primary metro Ethernet providers for our multi-carrier connectivity platform allows us to couple a high speed long-haul network with diversely-routed last mile connections. Our customers can count on Aspire.net as a single point of responsibility, with strong service level commitments and a single Service Level Agreement." Yipes Communications Inc.
