Apertio appoints Michael Jackson, former chairman of Sage Group, as its new chairman

BARCELONA -- Apertio Limited today announces the appointment of Michael Jackson as non-executive Chairman. An established and entrepreneurial business leader, Jackson's appointment further strengthens the Apertio management team.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Magelli, Chief Executive Officer at Apertio said: "Apertio has witnessed incredible growth over the past 18 months as a result of the widespread adoption of its technology by many of the world's largest telecommunications operators. Former Chairman of the FTSE 100 listed Sage Group PLC, Jackson will work with the Apertio executive team, recently named Best Management Team in the 2006 Sunday Times Tech Track 100 awards, to manage the rapid growth of the company utilising skills and experience gained from non-executive roles in some of the world's foremost software companies. In addition to having been an early investor and non-executive director of Micromuse, which was acquired by IBM in 2006, Michael currently holds non-executive positions at Mediasurface PLC and Computer Software Group PLC.
