Movaz Networks announces network supply agreement with AOL to deploy Movaz' RAY product portfolio

ATLANTA -- Movaz Networks, a leading provider of optical networking solutions, today announced a multi-year, multi-million dollar supplier agreement with America Online, Inc. for deployment of Movaz' RAY product portfolio, an advanced optical networking solution cohesively integrated with breakthrough technologies for a wide variety of applications.Movaz products will be used to power AOLwave, AOL's all-optical metropolitan area network which provides high capacity connectivity between AOL's major data center facilities. AOLwave also serves as the on-ramp to the AOL Transit Data Network (ATDN), AOL's international high speed Internet backbone. Both RAYexpress™, a high capacity OADM, and the RAYstar™, an integrated optical transport and switching platform are utilized in these applications to provide on-demand service availability."As advanced Internet applications significantly increase data traffic, they require dynamic service provisioning capabilities to meet real time user needs.
