HELSINKI and LONDON -- Amena, Spain's third largest mobile operator with 8.5 Million subscribers has selected UniqMinds of Finland for its MMS service partner in a pioneering deal, which makes Amena globally the first mobile operator to deploy a real high capacity multimedia messaging solution.

UniqMinds will provide Amena with its cutting-edge MMS solution, PEAKm MMS Direct, a high capacity MMS A2P (Application to Person) server for MMS push messages bypassing the MMSC and operating as a complementary parallel system with the legacy MMSC. The deal also includes the optional PEAKm MMS Direct Plus upgrade, which enables significant cost savings for high capacity MMS traffic by additionally bypassing the WAP Gateway for A2P MMS traffic and PEAKm MMS Front for enabling multi-MMSC environment. PEAKm MMS Direct has a capacity of 500 MMS messages per second on a single server. This compares with a normal capacity of 5-15 messages per second. As well as considerably improving the customer experience for a faster and reliable service, the operator will benefit from streamlined logistics and a significant increase in ARPU.

This agreement and its immediate deployment will re-enforce Amena's position as the leader in revenue generating MMS services. Amena is already the fastest growing mobile operator in Spain, having gained 1.7 Million subscribers in 2003. With this new product, Amena is able to guarantee a light speed delivery of time critical and revenue-generating value added MMS services such as mass event and marketing information, news, sports and music video clips.

Beniamin Cohen, CEO of UniqMinds, said: "We won this contract against very tough competition from major global players. We are honoured that Amena selected our solution, which will help Amena in further strengthening their pioneering position in the fast-growing MMS market. We also truly believe that value added push services will accelerate overall MMS adoption."
