Alcatel announced that five new partners have joined the Alcatel North America Business Partner program

DALLAS -- Alcatel (NYSE: ALA; Paris: CGEP) today announced that five new partners have joined the Alcatel North America Business Partner program as the program completes its first year of offering the combined enterprise and carrier class solutions to help business partners increase their profitability. In addition, Alcatel announced the appointment of Don Trace as Vice President of Sales, North American Channels. Trace, who has been in the industry almost 20 years, joined Alcatel nearly two years ago and has previous experience in leading successful channel programs in North America with other industry vendors.
"Alcatel sees our Business Partners as a strategic element of our sales model and success," said Trace. "Our Business Partner program is expanding Alcatel's reach and market coverage across the United States and Canada. Our goal is to provide the Channel community with the tools and field support to sell unique solutions by vertical market. We are confident that we can deliver the technology, margin retention, recurring service revenue and positive selling relationship that Business Partners demand."
