5G Standalone Deployments: The Value of Observability and Real-time Data

5G Standalone (SA) is not a standalone network. Because of its powerful dual-stack cloud native 4G and 5G nodes infrastructure, it manages devices’ signaling journey across different radio technologies – 5G SA, 5G NSA, 4G, and non-3GPP access networks.

Managing the complex challenge of end-through-end visibility for network performance and services at the onset of 5G SA deployments is critical for optimum subscriber experience. For example, handling voice services variants traversing the network, (such as voice over new radio (VoNR) and Evolved Packet System (EPS) fallback) and edge services with disaggregated and distributed RAN and core architectures is essential to achieving latency requirements, real-time insights, and analytics, for an effective network automation strategy.

Register now, to hear from Claudio Guerrini, Director of Product Management at NETSCOUT, and Ruth Brown, Principal Analyst at Heavy Reading about the challenges of 5G Standalone Deployments and the vital impact of observability on performance and services.

Learn about:

  • Achieving End through End Visibility across cloud native infrastructure, RAN and core aspects.

  • Harvesting Edge Data from RAN and Core Networks for improved Analytics and Monetization Opportunities

  • Leveraging Superior Data for AI and API

Join us on June 27th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. EST/10:00 am CST for a critical look into the landscape of 5G SA networks and the impact of observability on performance, data insights, and application.

Speakers:
Claudio Guerrini, Director of Product Management at NETSCOUT
Claudio Guerrini leads the Carrier Service Providers’ (CSPs) and Analytic product lines at NETSCOUT and has over 12 years of experience in various product manager roles in the company. Before joining NETSCOUT, he held similar positions at Accanto Systems and Sunrise Telecom.

Claudio’s early career experience started at Telecom Italia where he worked on the Radio Access Network (RAN), supporting 2G/3G/4G technologies.  Starting 2002, he represented Telecom Italia as a delegate at the 3GPP RAN groups and participated in standardization across multiple 3GPP releases for several years.

Claudio has 25 years of telecom experience and he aspire to help CSPs to successfully excel with the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and to become AI-driven companies.

Claudio earned his degree in telecommunications engineering from the University of Bologna (Unibo) in 1998 and a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the Bologna Business School (Unibo) in 2008. Claudio has filed and own the rights to multiple patents in various telecom areas.
