April 12, 2007
LONDON -- 3 is opening up internet access on the move to everyone, with a new £5 flat-rate unlimited mobile internet package. The package is available on all recently launched 3 handsets, whatever the colour, shape or size.
This new package comes on the back of the success of 3's X-Series, launched with the Nokia N73 in December last year. Complementing the 'Silver' and 'Gold' X-Series packages, which offer a range of mobile internet-based services from Skype calls to access to home TV via Slingbox from selected mobile phones, the new package is tailored to give 3 customers the freedom to choose the handset they want.
The new £5 package has been created to give all 3 customers unlimited access to the internet wherever they are, freeing them from their laptop or PC. From checking out the best local restaurants to catching up on the latest online news, users can browse 24/7 for one monthly fee. 3 customers can also stay in touch with their buddies on the move with unlimited Windows Live Messenger ensuring they can take part in conversations they would otherwise miss when they're out and about.
John Penberthy-Smith, 3's Marketing Director, commented, "Building on the innovation and success of X-Series, our latest mobile internet package gives our customers freedom to use the internet on the move and to choose a handset which really works for them."
3 is also offering customers freedom of speech with the latest Video Talk 500 deal, which runs until the end of April. Giving customers 500 anytime minutes to any network for just £15 a month, for life, the perfect deal for those who like to chat.
