Équipe's 3200 Multiservice Core Switch achieves NEBS Level 3 certification
January 7, 2003
ACTON, Mass. -- Équipe Communications Corporation announced today that the Équipe 3200 Multiservice Core Switch (É3200) has achieved Network Equipment Building Standards (NEBS) Level 3 certification. NEBS Level 3 is one of the most stringent NEBS certification levels and is a prerequisite for deployment with most carriers and service providers. Securing NEBS certification means that the É3200 has been tested and proven to be robust enough to meet one of the strictest standards in the United States for reliable telecommunications equipment operation in central office locations. “There is big difference between designing a product to be “NEBS-compliant” and actually earning NEBS certification for your product. NEBS certification proves that the product will perform to the highest standards of the telecommunications industry,” said Dennis Rainville, president and CEO, Équipe Communications. “NEBS Level 3 certification is a fundamental requirement in order to sell to large-scale carriers.” Équipe Communications Corp.
