MARKHAM, Ontario -- Navtel Communications Inc. the leader in IMS, VoIP and IP to IP gateway test solutions has announced the release of the industry only test application specifically designed to test access and interconnect border gateway functions for IMS networks.

“Border gateways deployed at IMS network boundaries will play critical roles in enabling and securing IMS networks and services. It is important that these network elements be tested under conditions that simulate real-world normal and abnormal IMS network load so as to verify their operation and characterize their impact on the quality of multimedia services in IMS network,” says Alvin Francis, Vice President of Marketing for Navtel Communications.

“Navtel’s border gateway test application is unique and was specifically designed to test IMS border gateways during the various phases of the product development life cycle (Functional, Negative, Load, Interoperability and Regression testing). It is the most cost effective solution for testing IMS border gateways and emulates primary and secondary controllers and the entire subscriber population with a single easy-to-use and intuitive application. This test strategy reduces the need for several test boxes to emulate the IMS test network and simplifies the testing of IMS border gateways. The application provides comprehensive statistics and troubleshooting capabilities which allow test engineers to easily isolate and fix faults,” continued Mr. Francis.
