NEW YORK -- Mobile-PC convergence company netomat Inc has announced that investment has been made in the company through Motorola Ventures, the strategic venture capital investment arm of Motorola Inc (NYSE:MOT), a mobile phone manufacturer.

According to netomat, Motorola's investment will enable it to develop its platform further. Motorola Ventures said the two companies share a vision of seamless mobility and claimed device users want to stay connected to colleagues, friends and family, no matter which network or device is being used.

netomat developed its IP-based platform to converge mobile, PC and content services and has recently introduced the netomat hub, a group text, picture and RSS sharing service for PCs and mobile phones. It said the hub integrates multiple services for real-time group communication, such as RSS syndication, picture and text messaging with presence, update alerts, digital photo storage and trusted social networking.

The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
