RICHARDSON, Texas and BARCELONA -- Mavenir Systems, an emerging network technology company, launched its mOne solution today at the 3GSM World Congress. Through mOne, wireless and wireline service providers can utilize their existing and next-generation networks to deploy multimedia seamlessly across mobile and fixed domains without investing in costly new infrastructure and expand their revenue opportunities. The solution is currently being utilized by leading service providers.

Where existing networks only serve the devices created for that platform, e.g. 2G devices on a 2G network, Mavenir's mOne provides independence between access and core domains. The result is an efficient, cost-effective method to offer multimedia services via myriad devices and move voice, audio and/or video sessions across domains and devices. Additional examples include:

  • Service providers can utilize their 2G or 3G networks to provide Voice over IP or IMS services to their 2G and 3G devices.

  • Mobile operators can utilize their radio access network to share these scarce resources with other network providers.

  • Dual-mode WiFi and cellular devices can be served by any network using UMA or VCC compliant handsets.

  • Fixed operators would be able to offer mobilized broadband Video and VoIP to consumers, expanding their services in crowded mobile markets.

  • Consumers and enterprises will be able to control their services, choosing when, where and on what device they receive their voice, video and communication services.

"We're pushing next generation delivery to the forefront, and at the same time offering service providers new opportunities for growth and revenue that would otherwise be costly and difficult to execute in their current environment," said Pardeep Kohli, chief executive officer for Mavenir Systems. "Over the last few months, mOne has been successfully tested by several service providers, validating our go-to-market strategy."
