BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Network Elements, a leading developer of award-winning 10Gb/s optical networking modules and ICs for high-performance networking and communications, today announced it will implement a new manufacturing model, utilizing strategic third-party vendors. By outsourcing a portion of manufacturing, Network Elements will maximize flexibility while reducing the company’s internal manufacturing investment. This strategic restructuring allows Network Elements to ramp-up product delivery schedules while reducing the company’s workforce, thereby lowering the breakeven revenue point.“Faced with current market conditions, we are very proud to have continuous revenue growth for six of the seven past, consecutive quarters. This is the optimal time for Network Elements to structure a secondary manufacturing relationship, ensuring we will continue to lead the optical module market,” stated Bruce Murdock, Network Elements’ president and CEO. “We will soon introduce a revolutionary new technology for our next-generation modules, with extremely low manufacturing costs, helping us maintain leadership while exceeding customer expectations and gaining financial self-sufficiency.”Network Elements Inc.
