Gruppo Danieli selects Allot's broadband management devices to guarantee performance on expanding company networks
April 5, 2007
SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS, France and UDINE, Italy -- Allot Communications, a leader in intelligent IP service optimization solutions based on deep packet inspection (DPI), and Gruppo Danieli, a supplier of equipment and plants to the worldwide metal industry, announced today their use of Allot’s NetEnforcer and NetXplorer broadband management devices. The company is using the broadband management devices for its internal network to provide network usage information to appropriately allocate bandwidth across the company for improved quality of service on mission-critical applications.
After a few months of experimenting with Allot’s solutions as a monitoring and accounting tool for the network, Gruppo Danieli’s IT team realized the potential of the NetEnforcer for quality of service capabilities. As a result, Gruppo Danieli deployed multiple NetEnforcers, with central management through the NetXplorer platform, across the network.
"Our initial demand to size network usage per user and application without consuming additional bandwidth was instantly fulfilled with the NetEnforcer," said Antonello Zulian, executive manager, IT systems management, Gruppo Danieli. "Additionally, Allot’s solutions offered traffic visibility and control we never had before, giving us the power and the flexibility to easily enforce network wide traffic policies for enhanced service quality and performance."
