FREMONT, Calif. -- Route control innovator netVmg today announced its new FastStart(TM) Program, designed to make route control simple enough, and affordable enough, for businesses of all sizes to reap the benefits of predictable, cost-optimized Internet performance, end-to-end Internet visibility, and reliable business assurance. The FastStart program simplifies route control with a new wizard-based installation tool for the FCP 100 that reduces initial configuration to a convenient 10-minute operation. For the first time, route control has become a drop-and-insert application for mainstream business. At the same time, the FastStart Program lowers the entry-point to route control to a $4,995 upfront cost and then a small monthly recurring fee. With potential for WAN bandwidth savings of more than three times the monthly fee, FastStart customers can enjoy almost immediate payback on their FCP investment. "In the current market environment, it has become difficult for companies to make a capital commitment to new technology--even when there is significant upside savings potential," said Dan Leary, vice president of product management at netVmg. "By lowering the upfront cost for companies with moderate bandwidth requirements to adopt route control, netVmg makes the ROI a no-brainer--this product pays for itself. In a similar fashion, by simplifying the installation with auto-discovery features, netVmg has masked the underlying complexity of route control from the average user, which is ideal for companies without BGP experience." In a separate release: netVmg, the leading provider of route control solutions to enterprises and service providers, today announced that RackMy.com, a complex hosting and co-location provider, has purchased netVmg's Flow Control Platform (FCP) 100 for deployment in its newly acquired data center. netVmg's FCP enables RackMy.com to guarantee unprecedented performance to its customers from its multi-million dollar, 10,000-square-foot, carrier-class data center located in St. Louis' Bandwidth Exchange Building. RackMy.com offers standard co-location and advanced managed/dedicated Windows 2000 hosting solutions that provide dedicated services to customers that run their own applications. In addition, RackMy.com provides services such as performance monitoring, security audits, managed firewall protection, and server load balancing. RackMy.com supports a multi-carrier environment and facilitates transactions with many carriers, including AT&T, UUNet/WorldCom, Level 3, Qwest, XO, DTI and SBC. Additional carriers available in the building are Sprint, McLeod, Cable & Wireless, Verio, Broadwing, Cable & Wireless, Charter, Williams (Wil-Tel), and Access US. "RackMy.com was one of the first managed hosting providers to guarantee customers 100 percent network uptime," said Dan Leary, vice president of product management at netVmg. "netVmg's FCP helps RackMy.com handle day-to-day performance issues and ensure that, even in the face of carrier disruptions such as black holes and brownouts, its network will be up and running. netVmg's FCP takes RackMy.com to the next level of network performance, providing its customers with a fully managed Internet solution that is available 24/7, and allows RackMy.com to deliver on its promise of 100 percent uptime." netVmg Inc.
