San Jose, Calif. -- Netro Corporation (NASDAQ:NTRO), a leader in broadband wireless access solutions, today announced the 3.5 GHz version of the company's ATM-based AirStar™ system. This new radio will be compatible with Netro's current base stations which support both IP and voice traffic. Introduction of the 3.5 GHz version is in response to growing demand by Netro's customers which are increasingly receiving licenses in both the 26 GHz and 3.5 GHz frequency bands.

"Our customers are pleased with Netro's leading-edge technology in the 10, 26, 28 and 38 GHz frequencies," said Gideon Ben-Efraim, chairman and CEO of Netro. "With more 3.5 GHz licenses being awarded to these same customers, the demand for a Netro AirStar solution at this frequency has been growing rapidly. Most importantly, this new radio will be compatible with Netro's current base stations and customer premises equipment, providing a cost effective solution for our customers." http://www.netro-corp.com/7.31.00_pr.htm
