NEC picks Centillium's Entropia III VOIP media gateway solution to power advanced IP services for NGN, 3G wireless infrastructure deployments

FREMONT, Calif. -- Centillium Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTLM - News), a leading provider of broadband access solutions, today announced that NEC has selected Centillium's pioneering Entropia(TM) III VoIP media gateway solution to help power advanced Internet Protocol (IP) services for NGN and 3G wireless infrastructure deployments. NEC chose Centillium's Entropia VoIP solution because it provides carrier-quality voice and media functions, as well as powerful processing, efficient power usage, rich software features and flexibility that are critical to the deployment of state-of-the-art NGN and 3G networks for leading service providers in Japan.
